Starting Work on News Report Soundtrack:

Due to my not being able to stick around at the studios for the sudden meeting that wasn't conveyed to me beforehand, I decided that I would start on creating the soundtrack for our News Report in order to make sure that I have made some input in the stead of what I had missed.

So far, I have created the first version of the our New Report 'jingle'/ theme which would play at the start of the News Report.
I had started looking at the music featured in various car adverts such as those advertising Tesla vehicles, as well as from car-orientated tv shows such as Top Gear and soundtracks to certain racing video games such as Gran Turismo to see if I can get a wider range of musical styles that have been incorporated into the overall themes of motoring.

For the opening theme, I cited the use of a prominent bass-line in a lot of music featured in motoring shows. The main bass-line features throughout all of the theme in a fast-paced loop with an equally fast-paced kick-drum playing alongside. To round off the short piece, I decided to include a bombastic 'orchestra-hit' tune that emulates the type of tune that might appear on a news report towards the start.

I also included a quiet reference to 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' (keeping in the theme of cars) where I emulated the sound of the engine and put it towards the end of the piece just after the ending jingle.

This is just a temporary version and will await feedback from the rest of the group to see if there is anything that needs changing.
